Lynda was born in Brighton, England and came to Canada when she was 4 1/2 years old. Since a teenager she was always partial to Country Music and Old Time Rock'n'Roll.
She used to sing in the shower but never in public. Tried to yodel in her basement while living in Prince George and at that time she knew she belonged.
It wasn't until she moved to Kelowna BC in 1986 that she actually started singing. In 1988 she won the overall Star of the Week Show in Vernon and from then on has kept on singing, starting a band with her husband Art as Acoustic Country and began a jam with all their musical friends.
Later they progressed to the band Crystal Country and hosted a Talent Contest in Kelowna every Saturday and Sunday for approximately 6 months. It was so much fun and successful they later began a full time band in 1989 and played the Okanagan Circuit for 4 years.
Lynda is one of the founding members of the Westbank Country Opry in 1996.
